BL. Richard Mueller 'Newberry' HCC/AOS x Schom. lyonsii

BL. Richard Mueller 'Newberry' HCC/AOS x Schom. lyonsii

Regular price $16.00

This should be quite a nice novelty cross we made using the prolific BL. Richard Mueller and Schomburgkia lyonsii. The awarded 'Newberry' clone of BL. Richard Mueller (Brassavola nodosa x Laelia milleri) has chrome yellow flowers with maroon spots and blooms multiple times per year with up to six blooms per spike. Schomburgkia lyonsii is a hard-to-come-by species from Cuba and Jamaica. It is the only Schomburgkia with markings on its flowers. The markings are an unusual color on white flowers and the lip has dark veining. The fragrant flowers are non-resupinate. With this hybrid, we are expecting to see many art-shade flowers per upright inflorescence.

(About 2+ years from blooming size.)
